We had so much fun at Baylor Homecoming last weekend! I flew down with Reese and Mark drove from Mississippi and we got to drive home together - yes, Mark is home! yippee! more on that later...

Reese experienced her first trip to Baylor and was such a trooper! She loved the bonfire and had so much fun meeting everyone at the parade. We loved getting to have lunch with Jenni & Adam and then go to the game with Taylor and Jordan. Praise the Lord we were in their covered seats and out of the crazy rain storm which caused a 2 hour delay! Reese slept through half of the game (im not sure how!) and we cheered Baylor on to their sixth win of the season which means, yes ladies and gentlemen, Baylor is going to a bowl game!!!!! It was so exciting and we were/are so proud! We went to dinner with Taylor and Jordan and then breakfast the next morning with Nat & Jessie at our favorite breakfast place, Cafe Capp. What a fun weekend catching up with our sweet friends and introducing Reese to the best school ever.

smocked

How cute is this smocked LSU dress?! I found it on this website - www.bestdressedchild.com  They don't have a Baylor one but they do have tons of other schools - especially in the SEC. I just love smocked dresses. Does anyone know of any good places to buy them in Amarillo or online? or have you ever tried it yourself?

mississippi

As soon as my parents left Amarillo, Reese and I jumped on a plane and flew to see Mark in Jackson, Mississippi {where he's doing is last surgery rotation - and loving it}. We had a great time together shopping and eating and seeing the pretty trees & beautiful homes and of course Reese got LOTS of daddy time. It was such a fun weekend and we sure didn't want it to end. Here are a few pics of the weekend...

(chicken and waffles!? - my lunch one day... apparently a southern tradish. it was actually pretty good!)

we're definitely on the countdown... 11 days until we see Mark again at Baylor homecoming and he comes home with us!!!!! whoohooo!

blessing

A few weeks ago my parents and my uncle came to stay with me again. It was, again, such a blessing to have them here to help me cook, clean, take care of Gunner, take care of the house {my dad and uncle worked so hard around my house fixing windows, mowing, other repairs etc}We also made time to do fun things too.... eat mexican food, visit/hike in Palo Duro Canyon, visit Cadillac Ranch, see the Helium monument {ha!}, go on walks... it was such a wonderful week! Thanks for all you do for me mom&dad! I love you so much.
