so excited to spend christmas with this eight month old munchkin for the first time and i think she's pretty excited about it too :) she isn't "crawling" for real but she can sure get around and loves to pull the bows off all the presents and then try to grab the ornaments -which are strategically too high for her to reach :) she's too cute... I just can't get enough of her. Love you little Reeser. Merry Christmas!

nat&jessie's wedding
Last weekend (dec 11th) we traveled all the way to Houston (can you believe it's 10 hours away and still in the same state?! so crazy!) for Mark's best friend's wedding. It was so fun to be a part of the whole weekend. We couldn't be more excited for Nat and Jessie to finally tie the knot! They are such special friends of ours and we were honored to be there. Here are some pictures from the wedding.... didn't get any pictures of the rest of the weekend - the rehearsal dinner was at this fun 'home cooking' restaurant in Old Spring. Of course we ate too much and had fun catching up with friends and with Nat & Jessie's families. Saturday the boys had a 'boy' brunch and the girls had a 'girl' brunch (which Jessie was so sweet to include Reese and I), Mark and I shopped a little that afternoon and then got ready for the wedding. It was BEAUTIFUL! It was at Ashton Gardens and it was just the perfect wintery wedding. Congrats Nat & Jessie! We love you!

yarn ball wreath
Last Christmas I found the cutest wreath at The Nest (on 6th street in amarillo) and thought maybe I could make it myself. This is how it turned out. It's not exactly like the one I saw, but I still think it's fun! And so easy (and pretty cheap!) I just wrapped styrofoam balls with yarn and then used wire to put them and other colorful christmas balls on the wreath. I think I'll make another one this year. I saw on my friend Kristen's blog that she made yarn balls and just used them on her tree as ornaments! That's another fun idea! I just love CHRISTmas!
leaves
"played" in the pile of leaves this weekend. it will definitely be more fun next year... i think she was more interested in her boots than the leaves this year. ha

Thanksgiving in pictures
This year for Thanksgiving all of my mom's side of the family was in Branson (all 20 of us!) So we decided to drive through the night so Reese would sleep and worked like a charm! We made it faster than we ever have! We had an awesome week with my family just hanging out, eating a TON, had a bonfire and roasted hotdogs and smores one night, watched it snow on thanksgiving day, watched a lot of football, went to silver dollar city, shopped early on black friday, did I already say ate a lot, took Reese to meet Santa, made pioneer woman cinnamon rolls (YUM!!), played with Reese and passed her around, crocheted some scarves, had our annual lsu/arkansas game party .... it was a blast and was so hard to leave, as always. I love my family soooo much.
Here are a few pictures:

seven
well reeser is now exactly seven months and two weeks old.
she is still pretty much the happiest baby in the world.
she's trying to crawl... she rocks back and forth on all fours and is really good at scooting backwards but hasn't quite figured out how to go forward yet.
she has definitely figured out that mommy still exists even when she's in another room
she doesn't like to eat baby food - we've tried everything.
she hates to lay down and have her diaper changed... pretty much immediately rolls over.
sleeping through the night pretty well (sometimes wakes up once but goes right back to sleep)
still no teeth.
wears size 3 diapers.
puts everything in her mouth (besides food)
loves the strap on the camera (thats why she's smiling in almost every picture haha) she pulled herself up on her green chair to get to it.
says 'mamama' and 'bababa'.
reaches for you when you go to pick her up.
can somehow crawl into my lap when im sitting next to her.
LOVES to watch dogs and little kids.
has the cutest laugh you've ever heard.
just started rolling onto her stomach while she sleeps.
i love you more than ever my little reesie boo.

diy projects...
I attempted the cool wreath but it didn't quite turn out like the picture... It's still kinda cute, I guess... but probably not hang on the wall forever cute. I might tie a big red ribbon around it and hang it over a mirror for christmas... or it might go in the trash, we'll see.
I have a new obsession. Crocheting. Yes, it's true. I'm a 76-year-old woman. It's just so fun. My friend Kristen makes the cutest, cutest circle scarves ever! You HAVE to check them out here!!!! So I thought I would try my hand at it and yes, it is super easy, but my scarves aren't nearly as cute as hers and I still don't really know what I'm doing and It's really hard to judge how big/long it is going to be... so i'll just keep trying. Thank goodness for 'How to Crochet' youtube videos haha I don't think I'm using thick enough yarn or maybe I'm using the wrong size hook? IDK. Those detailed things mean nothing to me. Please give me pointers if you know how to crochet!! :)
Here are the only two I've made so far (well I guess i've made 3 but the first one fell apart! ha!)
Last weekend the hubby and I {well I didn't really do much since we have a tiny baby who doesn't like to play by herself} painted our back living room from this dark, kinda weird brown color to my favorite color ever - silver sage! It looks a million times better. So much brighter and fun. Now I just need new things to hang on the wall and maybe some new lamps too. One thing alllllllways leads to another, doesn't it.
let it snow...
I'm a few weeks behind but i'll try and catch up this week...
It was so crazy!! and I had no idea there was even a chance of snow so I was super surprised! Of course we still had school even though the roads (and the trees) looked like this:
It was Reese's first ever snow day. We didn't get to take her out in it {too cold!} but she loved looking at it through the window. Can't wait to go sledding with you one of these days baby Reeser!

cutie little strawberry
Happy Halloween!
Here's Reese with our sweet neighbor's little girl, Lulu
Mark and I got into costume too :) {we were farmers, if you cant tell}
We had a few trick-or-treaters and then we went to our big church fall festival. Reese was super sleepy the whole time but it was still fun, and she was still as cute as ever, if i do say so myself :)
glorieta, nm
Last weekend we traveled to our church's lodge in Glorieta, New Mexico with our sunday school class. We had so much fun together! We spent most of the time sitting around watching the babies but we ate some yummy food, spent the afternoon in Santa Fe and had a blast together. Here are a few pictures from the beautiful weekend:
